Xiaomi Mi Notebook 15 Review and Price in Cameroon

Two days ago, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi NoteBook 14 for those who want something light to travel with (the Horizon Edition, which weighs 1.35 kg). On June 12, the company showed off a laptop for those needing something a bit faster.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 (2020) shares similar specs with the Enhanced Edition from last year. It is powered by the 10th generation processor from Intel – an i5-10210U in the base version and i7-10-510U in the top tied model. In both versions, there is an eGPU, an Nvidia GeForce MX350 (in comparison to MX250 on the 14” laptop).

Compared to the MX250, the new GPU has a lot of shaders – 640 versus 384. However, both are based on the Pascal 14nm architecture, but the MX350 has double the TDP (25W) and higher memory bandwidth. The MX350 also matches the GTX 960M and is a bit slower than a GTX 1050.

Xiaomi engineered a dual-fan, dual cooling pipe system to keep all of this cool. Also, the base storage is a 512GB NVMe SSD, but you can have 1TB if you wish. This is also linked to upgrading from 8GB of RAM to 16GB (DDR4 2666 MHz).

Furthermore, Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 (2020) comes with a 10th gen Intel CPU and Nvidia MX350 GPU.

Furthermore, The Mi NoteBook Pro 15 (2020) has a 15.6” LCD, which is protected with Gorilla Glass 3. This time, the 1080p panel promises 300 nits of brightness and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. This is great for content creators.

Also, Below that is a full-size keyboard with 1.5 mm essential travel and backlighting. Located on the touchpad is a fingerprint reader for extra security.

In terms of ports, there are 2 USB-C ports on one side (close to an SD card reader) and 2 USB-A ports on the other, plus an HDMI and 3.5 mm headphone jack. For wireless connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 5 (2x2 MiMo) as well as Bluetooth 5.

The 60Wh battery should last for 17 hours of extensive video playback. The good news is that it can be charged 50% in 40 minutes over USB-C. Also, you can use the USB-C ports to charge your phone at 18W.

The laptop weighs 2kg and has two 2.5W speakers made by Harman Audio. Windows 10 Home comes factory installed on the computer.
