First Doctor Dies of Covid-19 in Cameroon
Doctor Tchouamo Michael, an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Specialist working at the Laquintinie Hospital Douala Cameroon, is the first Medic to succumb to the deadly coronavirus in Cameroon.
He alleged that he could have contracted the virus from the patients he had been providing his expertise for. This comes when coronavirus cases continue to pile up in the country.
As of April 2, 2020, Cameroon has recorded 306 confirmed coronavirus cases with 8 fatalities. Cameroon's Minister of Public Health has continued to call for proper hygienic methods and social distancing measures.
