Facebook Account kit now offers Verifcation code reception on WhatsApp. This will reduce significant SMS delays
App Verification Codes Can Now be Received on WhatsAppFor a very long time, two-factor codes for web and mobile logins have always been sent via SMS only. This is sometimes frustrating when you end up not receiving the code due to network delays, and you find yourself logged out of your own account. Thankfully, this is set to end as Facebook's Account Kit SDK has now provided an update which adds WhatsApp verification.

Internet access and smartphones have now increased worldwide as well as WhatsApp's dominance in certain parts of the world including Africa, Asia and Europe. It is, therefore, a great idea to offer this option. This is especially true as many people now only use SMS for verification codes (like myself), with all their chats with family and friends recorded on WhatsApp.
Facebook's Account Kit SDK will now offer developers the possibility for their app or website login to disable SMS as a two-factor option if they wish. However, this will depend on the region. For more about the Account Kit, you can check its site here.
